Emergency crews were called to a natural gas leak in west-end Halifax on Wednesday morning&nbsp;that forced the temporary&nbsp;closure of sections&nbsp;of Bayers Road and Oxford Street.

Police issued an alert at about 11:30 a.m. AT warning motorists to stay away from the area and advising residents to close their windows as Heritage Gas capped the leak.

A traffic advisory issued an hour later said the area of Bayers Road from&nbsp;Windsor Street&nbsp;to Connolly Street had reopened to vehicle and&nbsp;pedestrian traffic. Oxford Street from Liverpool Street to Edgewood Avenue had also reopened, the advisory said.
