Heavy rainfall is possible at times across much of southwestern Ontario on Tuesday into Wednesday, according to Environment Canada.
And as a result, a special weather statement for Windsor-Essex(external link), Chatham-Kent(external link) and Sarnia-Lambton(external link) was issued early Tuesday.
Much of the precipitation is expected tonight into tomorrow.
"Rainfall, combined with melting snow, is expected," said the weather agency in an online statement.

"The frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb this rainfall."
There's also the risk for rare March thunderstorms within the system, says Environment Canada.
When all is said and done, local rainfall amounts in excess of 25 millimetres "cannot be ruled out" by Wednesday night — with localized flooding in low-lying areas and water pooling on roads also possible, it added.
