Another MPP elected in 2022 was making their 1st re-election bid
PC John Jordan is projected to keep Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston.
The riding is smack dab in the middle of eastern Ontario, runs from the north end of Kingston nearly to Calabogie, and from Pakenham west to Cloyne. Highway 7 runs through the middle.
Jordan previously kept the riding for the Progressive Conservatives in 2022, with just over 50 per cent of the vote. PC-turned-Independent Randy Hillier had earlier represented the area before stepping aside.
The area's last Liberal win was 2003, though there have been some significant border changes since then.
Jordan was parliamentary secretary to the minister of Agriculture. His family still runs a farm in Montague Township.
Seven candidates ran for the seat.
