Former Liberal MP seized seat back from NDP 3 years ago

This riding contains the City of Kingston south of Highway 401, and Howe and Wolfe islands.
Liberal Ted Hsu earned about 3,200 more votes than the second-place NDP to swing the seat in the last election. The Liberals had previously held the riding since 1995.
Three candidates are currently running for the seat. CBC adds candidates when they're confirmed by Elections Ontario or listed by one of the four parties with a seat at Queen's Park at dissolution.
Nominations close Feb. 13.
Voting is now possible at local election offices. Advance voting locations are open Feb. 20-22. Voting day is Feb. 27. Elections Ontario has more information(external link) on the range of voting options.

Ted Hsu, Liberal

Hsu has a PhD in physics from Princeton, and worked in finance and sustainable energy before serving as MP for the area from 2011 to 2015.

Zachary Typhair, Green

The 2022 Green candidate is back for another race. He works as an insurance agent.

Elliot Goodell Ugalde, NDP

Ugalde is working toward a PhD in political science at Queen's, where he's an executive with the instructors' union.
