Glengarry–Prescott–Russell runs from rural east Ottawa through communities such as Clarence-Rockland, Casselman and Hawkesbury to the Quebec border.
Linguistically, the area is evenly split between anglophones and francophones, according to the 2021 census.
Unlike some other local ridings, this one changes hands: Stéphane Sarrazin won it for the PCs in 2022 from PC-turned-Liberal Amanda Simard by three-and-a-half percentage points, or about 1,500 votes.
Simard had won it from the Liberals when she represented the PCs. It was more solidly Liberal before that, dating back to its creation in the late 1990s.
Four candidates are currently running for the seat. CBC adds candidates when they're confirmed by Elections Ontario or listed by one of the four parties with a seat at Queen's Park at dissolution.
Nominations close Feb. 13.
Voting is now possible at local election offices. Advance voting locations are open Feb. 20-22. Voting day is Feb. 27. Elections Ontario has more information(external link) on the range of voting options.
