When the film It Ends With Us came out last August, rumours swirled about conflict between actor, director and producer Justin Baldoni and the rest of the cast of the highly-anticipated Colleen Hoover screen adaptation.
Throughout the press tour, fans online pointed out that co-stars Baldoni and Blake Lively weren't seen together in interviews or at premieres, and it appeared that few members of the cast, if any, still followed the director on Instagram post-production.
Months after the film's release, the New York Times reported(external link) that Lively filed a legal complaint with the California Civil Rights Department against Baldoni and others involved with the film, alleging harassment and a coordinated campaign to attack her reputation.
Now, Baldoni has filed a lawsuit against the New York Times, and Lively has officially filed a lawsuit against Baldoni and several others tied to the film.
Today on Commotion, entertainment reporter Teri Hart explains the details we know about the ugly legal battle, and why it's sending shockwaves through the industry.
