Police say they arrested three men in St. John's just days before Christmas after a joint RNC-RCMP bust resulted in the seizure of drugs and weapons.
In a news release on Friday, the RNC says a warrant was obtained and a property — connected to an ongoing investigation — in the area of Salisbury Street was searched on Dec. 20.
Police say they confiscated a shotgun with ammunition, a small calibre rifle, multiple airsoft guns, a machete, over 600 grams of MDMA, over four ounces of cocaine, illicit cannabis, hash, LSD, Percocet pills, pharmaceutical medications, hundreds of cartons of contraband cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash.
The RNC says the men were later released and charges are pending.
