As Nova Scotians take some time this holiday season to reflect on the past year, the region's most compelling news stories help to paint a vivid picture of life in the province.
From extreme weather events to health-care nightmares, flying sailboats and a bear stuck in a tree — CBC Nova Scotia brought you the many highs and lows of the past 12 months.
