A 31-year-old man was stabbed to death in Thompson&nbsp;on Monday, the small northern Manitoba city's&nbsp;second homicide in as many weeks.

Mounties were called to reports of a stabbing in the Eastwood area around 1 p.m., a police news release said Tuesday.

A 31-year-old man was taken to hospital but later died.

Thompson Mounties and&nbsp;RCMP&nbsp;major crimes and forensic units are&nbsp;investigating.
