A 39-year-old man from Liverpool, N.S.,&nbsp;is dead following a crash Thursday afternoon along the province's South Shore.

Queens District RCMP say they responded at 12:37&nbsp;p.m. to a report of a vehicle off a Highway 103 exit in Port Mouton.

Police say the vehicle&nbsp;veered off the highway and came to rest in a wooded area. The driver, the only person in the vehicle, was found dead at the scene.

An investigation is underway, according to a media release.

N.S. minister hopes changes to fish buyer, processor licences will help curb illegal activity

The Nova Scotia government is introducing new measures as part of fish buyer and processor licences that officials hope will help crack down on illegal fishing.

Part of the new processing line that's expected to operate 10 months of the year and is capable of cooking 30,000 pounds of lobster daily.

How N.S. university food banks are adapting to keep up with high demand

Student leaders at some Nova Scotia universities are having to change the way they run their school food banks. They say more students are turning to them for help each year, so they've had to figure out how to keep up.

14-year-old girl pleads guilty to manslaughter in Halifax teen's stabbing death
