About 11,000 homes and businesses in and around Truro were briefly without power on Friday afternoon after a crow flew into a&nbsp;transmission line.

A spokesperson for Nova Scotia Power said it was the second crow-related outage in the province on Friday.

The outage was initially attributed to&nbsp;"wildlife interference" on the utility's outage map.

A Nova Scotia Supreme court judge has ruled Nova Scotia's chief electoral officer had no authority to order the Liberals to remove campaign signs and ditch literature she deemed to be misleading during last summer's byelection in Preston.

The Liberal campaign team have been instructed to remove all signs by 12 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 3, 2023, and cease use of related door knockers and flyers immediately.
