Police in Halifax are asking the public for help in identifying a suspect in a shooting that occurred in Dartmouth on Monday morning.

Police were called to the 100 block of Colford Avenue at 6:40 a.m. and found a man who had been shot. The man was taken to hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the suspect fired multiple shots at the man, who was waiting at a bus stop. They say&nbsp;the suspect got away on a motorcycle. Police think the suspect was around the MacKay Bridge shortly after the shooting.

In a release Friday, police released two&nbsp;photos of the suspect. He was wearing a black jacket over a grey hoodie, dark&nbsp;jeans, sneakers and a black helmet. He was riding a blue and grey sport-style motorcycle.

Dal faculty union calls for suspension of academic ties from Israeli institutions

The union representing faculty at Dalhousie University recently passed two motions at its annual general meeting related to the Israel-Hamas war. One motion calls for Dalhousie to suspend formal partnerships with Israeli academic institutions and to boycott and divest from institutions.
