Justin Trudeau has been defending the federal carbon tax this week after the price went up on April 1st.

The federal Conservative Party and some provincial premiers are calling for it to be eliminated altogether.

This week, Ontario Premier Doug Ford even went as far as to say that if the federal government doesn't get rid of the carbon tax -- the Prime Minister won't survive another election.
