Yes, that April snowstorm that hit Montreal was the largest of the year

Spring has so far been more wintery than winter was

The snowstorm that hit Montreal and blanketed Southern Quebec in snow on Thursday was the largest to hit the city all year.
More than 30 cm of snow fell downtown; 23 cm fell at Trudeau International Airport, according to preliminary data from Environment Canada.
That's more than any other storm that hit Montreal all winter — and it happened on April 4.
In fact, there was only 16 cm of snow logged at the airport in March and only 16 cm in February.
Hydro-Québec crews continued to repair downed power lines on Friday morning. As of 8 a.m., more than 45,000 customers lacked electricity across the province, most of them in the Laurentians and Outaouais regions.
