Power has been restored after&nbsp;thousands in the Maritimes were&nbsp;without electricity&nbsp;on Sunday morning after a 

Environment Canada has lifted all weather alerts for New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. There were wind warnings across&nbsp;the region and a risk of storm surge in coastal areas.

New Brunswick's provincial utility was showing no remaining outages on its map.

As of 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Nova Scotia Power's outage map showed showed no major outages, compared to&nbsp;about 3,600 earlier in the morning.&nbsp;

Maritime Electric was reporting power has been restored to all of its customers&nbsp;who were without power in P.E.I. on Sunday morning.&nbsp;&nbsp;

CBC Meteorologist Jay Scotland said a strong southeasterly wind did result in outages and even a full bridge closure last night.

Bay Ferries cancelled crossings from Digby and Saint John, N.B., on Sunday. The Saint John departure scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday was also cancelled. &nbsp;

Service was expected to resume with the 4 p.m. departure from Digby on Monday.

The Confederation Bridge closed on Saturday night but has reopened.

A 42-year-old New Glasgow woman is dead after her car struck a deer and was then hit from behind by a transport truck on Friday, according to an RCMP news release.
