The third season of Son of Critch premieres this week. It's based on the real-life story of Canadian comedian Mark Critch (the show's creator and namesake) as he's growing up in St. John's. In the show, Mark plays his late father, Mike Critch, who was a well-known newscaster in Newfoundland.
In a conversation with Q's Tom Power(external link), Mark tells us how a pivotal scene from the show's latest season was inspired by a truly formative experience for both him and his dad.
Son of Critch airs Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m. on CBC Gem and CBC Television, and at 9 p.m. in Newfoundland and parts of Labrador.
