Halifax Regional Police say a 31-year-old woman who was arrested&nbsp;in connection with a 2022 stabbing death has been released without charges.

The woman was arrested Thursday morning at a Halifax residence as part of the investigation into the death of&nbsp;Chauntel Lizette MacIntyre.

Const. John MacLeod said Friday she has not been charged.

On May 17, 2022, police were called after a person was stabbed near Sylvia Avenue and Herring Cove Road around 12:45 a.m. AT.

MacIntyre, 37,&nbsp;was taken to hospital where she died.&nbsp;

An autopsy was conducted and the death was determined to be homicide.&nbsp;

Police said MacIntyre's death is&nbsp;still being investigated and are asking anyone with information&nbsp;to contact them at 902-490-5020.

Man accused of murder in Cole Harbour hit and run previously charged with assaulting victim

A 33-year-old man accused of murdering a woman during a hit and run this week in Cole Harbour, N.S., allegedly tried to use a vehicle to assault the same victim in another incident earlier this year and was also later charged with choking her.
