What happens when you have a dream that doesn't work out? That's a question Vivek Shraya can answer.
The Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist debuted her autobiographical coming-of-age story How to Fail as a Popstar as a one-woman play in 2019, and then released it as a book in 2021. Now, her story has been adapted for the screen as a new comedy series for CBC Gem(external link).
Shraya sits down with Q's Tom Power(external link) to talk about the power of failure — and how she still hopes this show will make her famous.
