CBC Kitchener-Waterloo's Sounds of the Season campaign has raised $95,507.30 for our neighbours in need.
This includes more than $13,000 raised during the live airing of The Morning Edition from TheMuseum in downtown Kitchener.
This annual campaign raises food and funds for The Food Bank of Waterloo Region. It also raised almost 90 kg of food.
This year the need was greater than ever with the food bank reporting a 45 per cent increase in the number of community members utilizing its services.
The food bank says it can take $1 and turn that into two meals.
