Sophie Grégoire Trudeau is set to release her first book, Closer Together: Knowing Ourselves, Loving Each Other, on April 23, 2024.
Closer Together is a self-help book that melds together Grégoire Trudeau's own experiences and interviews with experts to work towards self-knowledge, acceptance and empowerment.
It discusses her childhood, her struggles with an eating disorder as a teen and young adult, her career as a speaker and a television host, becoming a mother of three, as well as the responsibilities that come with being married to the prime minister. Grégoire Trudeau and Justin Trudeau announced their separation in August 2023.
Closer Together will feature conversations with mental health specialist Dr. Gabor Maté, author and journalist Liz Plank, activist and writer Helen LaKelly Hunt and writers Terrence Real, Catherine Price and Harville Hendrix, among others.
This is the first release of a two-book deal with Penguin Random House Canada, the second of which will be a picture book. The picture book will hit the shelves in 2025 and encourage kids to move, explore and be connected to the great outdoors and their own inner emotions.
