Canada's population is growing at a rate unmatched since the post-war baby boom and it's largely due to the federal government's increased immigration targets.

A TD report this summer found that Canada's current level of immigration would only widen the shortfall of housing over the next two years. The federal government has said they standby their current plans for immigration because they say immigration is essential to the health of Canada's economy and more housing construction.
