What to know about the Seine River riding for Manitoba's 2023 election

Seine River, Winnipeg's southernmost riding, has existed since 1990, but its boundaries changed significantly in the most recent riding redistribution in 2018.
Its boundaries are now Winnipeg city limits in the west and the south. Its northern boundary is the Perimeter Highway from city limits east to the Red River. Further east, the riding's northern boundaries are Warde Avenue and Southglen Boulevard.
Its eastern boundary runs south along St. Anne's Road from Southglen Boulevard to the Perimeter. South of that, the eastern boundary is formed by the Seine River and city limits.
The riding includes the neighbourhoods of Dakota Crossing, south St. Vital, Ritchot, and St. Norbert.
The riding's population is 22,490, according to Elections Manitoba's 2023 riding profile (external link)(compiled using data from the 2021 census).
The median age of the riding is 40, according to the riding profile, slightly older than the provincial median of 38.4(external link).
The median household income in the area is $117,000, according to census data.
