What to know about the Radisson riding for Manitoba's 2023 election

The northeast Winnipeg riding of Radisson has been around since 1958, although its boundaries changed significantly in the most recent riding redistribution in 2018. It lost a majority of its northern territory to the nearby ridings of Transcona and Southdale.
The updated riding runs from Grassie Boulevard along Plessis Road and Gunn Road in the north to Dugald Road in the south. Its western boundary runs from Lagimodière Boulevard along Regent Avenue W to Panet Road Molson Street, and its eastern boundary runs along Day Street, Kildare Avenue W., Hoka Street, Rosseau Avenue W and Plessis Road.
The riding includes the neighbourhoods of East Kildonan-Transcona, Harbour View South, Lakeside Meadows and Mission Gardens.
The riding's population is 28,930, according to the 2023 riding profile(external link) (compiled from information in the 2021 census). There were 17,150 registered voters in the riding as of April 2023.
The median age of the riding is slightly lower than the overall provincial median, at 37.2 in Radisson compared to 38.4 provincewide(external link), according to the riding profile and the 2021 census. The census found the median household income in the area is $95,000.
