The southeastern Manitoba riding of Lac du Bonnet was created in 1958, and runs west from the Manitoba-Ontario border.
The riding includes its namesake, Lac du Bonnet, as well as Tyndall, Pinawa, Beausejour, Whitemouth, Hadashville, Ste. Rita and Powerview-Pine Falls.
The Lac du Bonnet riding's population is 25,080, according to the riding's profile(external link) (which includes information compiled from the 2021 census).
The median age of the riding is almost 14 years older than the overall provincial median, at 52 compared to 38.4 provincewide, according to the riding profile(external link) and the 2021 census(external link). The census found the median household income in the area is $78,500.
