Three people were hurt, including two alleged shooters and a bystander, in a daytime shootout in Scarborough on the weekend, Toronto police say.
Duty Insp. Maher Abdel-Malik said that around 3 p.m. Sunday police received several calls about two males shooting at each other in a courtyard in the area of Morningside Avenue and Danzig Street.
"Police arrived on scene and found three males with injuries," Abdel-Malik said from the scene Sunday.
One had been shot in the torso, while the other two were shot in their legs. All three were taken to hospital for treatment. Their injuries were non-life-threatening, Abdel-Malik said.
On Monday, police said two of the males are alleged to have been involved in the gunfire and both are in custody, though they remain in hospital. No further details about the males were provided, and no charges have been announced.
