Niagara police are investigating a "suspicious" death at the Niagara Detention Centre after they say an inmate was found "without vital signs" over the weekend.
Police say officers were called to the correctional facility on the morning of June 10 for a medical emergency.
Police say paramedics found a 52-year-old man without vital signs. Police say they performed first aid and CPR.
The man was pronounced dead.
The force's homicide unit is investigating but says there is no risk to the public.
