Hollywood actors union votes to authorize strike if no deal reached by June 30

As the Hollywood writers walkout continues, the actors union has also voted to authorize a strike if no deal can be reached by June 30.
Negotiations between the 160,000-member union and the major studios, such as Walt Disney Co., and Netflix Inc., are scheduled to begin on Wednesday.
Actors are seeking higher pay and safeguards against unauthorized use of their images through artificial intelligence.
