Discover the Cultural Village, the heart of the 2023 North American Indigenous Games, at the Halifax Commons from July 15-22, 2023.

The Cultural Village is open to the public and will feature over 40 performances, 50 Indigenous artists and artisans, and daily food and cultural demonstrations.

The Games will bring together more than 5,000 athletes, coaches and team staff from more than 756 Indigenous Nations across Turtle Island (North America).

The Games will host competitions in 16 sports within 21 venues across Kjipuktuk (Halifax), Dartmouth and Millbrook First Nation.

Volunteers vital part of the Games' success

CBC Atlantic is shining the spotlight on some of the incredible people – Indigenous and non-Indigenous – who are volunteering their time and talents to support the North American Indigenous Games. Through their acts of kindness, the series will help inspire others to see themselves as part of the Games and to share cultural learnings.
