The price of gasoline and diesel oil in Nova Scotia dropped Saturday after taking a&nbsp;significant tumble the day before.

Gasoline and diesel prices fell&nbsp;by nine cents and six cents per litre, respectively, as part of a weekly price adjustment on Friday.

At 12:01 a.m. Saturday, those prices fell another 10&nbsp;and seven cents per litre, respectively, because of "significant shifts in the market prices of gasoline and diesel oil," according to the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board.

The minimum price of diesel in Nova Scotia on Saturday was $1.71&nbsp;per litre, while gasoline was selling for&nbsp;$1.63&nbsp;per litre.

Shelburne long-term care home to be transferred to private company

The province has decided to turn over a long-term care home in Shelburne to the private company MacLeod Group.

New report shows homelessness in CBRM not improving

A survey of all of the counties in Cape Breton, as well as Guysborough and Antigonish counties on the mainland, showed 419 people in the eastern part of the province experienced some form of homelessness last November. The new numbers showed CBRM has stayed roughly the same despite efforts.

Kejimkujik National Park is Parks Canada's first major solar project in Atlantic Canada and will result in a significant reduction in greenhouse gases at the park.

Tensions rise at Halifax park as city calls on police to remove people
