A sailboat that was late arriving at its destination in Lunenburg, N.S.,&nbsp;has established communication with search parties confirming the crew is not in danger.

The sailboat, Strange Situation, was scheduled to arrive in Lunenburg, N.S.,&nbsp;on May 25 from Bermuda.

In a tweet just before 9:30 p.m. AT on Friday, the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre&nbsp;in Halifax (JRCC Halifax) said Strange Situation updated its anticipated arrival time.

JRCC&nbsp;Halifax said&nbsp;it would monitor Strange Situation's&nbsp;journey to Nova Scotia until it safely arrives at port.

Strange Situation has three people aboard.

Convicted N.S. sex offender may have fled to Baghdad, says Crown

A man convicted of a sexual assault in Nova Scotia has apparently fled the country and is now the subject of an arrest warrant. In February, the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal granted Bassam Al-Rawi an interim release while his lawyer tried to take his case to the Supreme Court of Canada.
