A man who was reported missing near Chocolate Lake has been found safe, police say.

This comes after a search was initiated for the&nbsp;man early Thursday&nbsp;morning.

Halifax Regional Police say the man&nbsp;was reported missing around 5 a.m. near the intersection of&nbsp;Armshore Drive and Herring Cove Road.
