RCMP say a fatal house fire&nbsp;early Tuesday morning in North Kentville, N.S., is not considered suspicious.

RCMP said they were called to the fire on Brook Street around 3:55 a.m. AT.

The home was fully engulfed when they arrived. Once the fire had been put out by the fire department, human remains were discovered.

The RCMP did not say how many people died in the fire, but&nbsp;Kentville Fire Chief Scott Hamilton confirmed on Wednesday only one person was in the home at the time of the fire.

Nova Scotia Power, N.B. companies charged in drowning death of engineer

Second COVID-19 case confirmed at N.S. legislature

A second case of COVID-19 has been confirmed at Province House, which was recently closed to the public as a result of the first positive case, sparking allegations of a double-standard for politicians and the rest of Nova Scotia.
