Tavares breaks Gretzky record

John Tavares of the Oshawa Generals scored twice Friday night to break the record for most goals in the Ontario Hockey League by a 16-year-old.
Despite the effort, the Generals fell 7-4 on the road to the Ottawa 67's.
Tavares tied and then broke the record of 70 set by NHL great Wayne Gretzky, when he was with the Soo Greyhounds in 1977-78,and he still has two games remaining to add to his total of 71. He also added an assist.
"It was pretty excited when I saw the puck go in. It was nice to finally get it," Tavares said.
"It takes a bit of pressure off myself. I've been holding my stick a little tight the last couple games. Now I'm going to enjoy this with my teammates and my family."
