Many families hiding in makeshift bomb shelters while others seek safety across borders
The week-long Russian invasion of Ukraine has sent more than 874,000 people fleeing to neighbouring countries and forced families who remain in the country to protect their young in makeshift shelters.
Here's a look at what they have had to endure amid the bullets, missiles and shelling since the war began on Feb. 24.
