A 41-year-old Glace Bay man has died from injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle, RCMP in Cape Breton say.
RCMP responded to a call on Kings Road around 7:15 a.m. on Saturday.
The road was closed between First Street and Tometary Drive for several hours, but reopened by 6 p.m., the RCMP say.
Nova Scotia RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Chris Marshall said a collision reconstructionist was called to the scene.
In a release issued on Sunday, RCMP say "that a deceased person had been located on the side of the road, and the fatal injuries the person had suffered were consistent with having been struck by a vehicle."
The release went on to say that "there was no vehicle located in the immediate area that may have been involved in a collision."
RCMP say the investigation is continuing.
