Prime Minister Justin Trudeau today welcomed Health Canada's approval of an antiviral treatment that could keep high-risk COVID-19 patients out of hospital — while also warning that the Pfizer therapeutic is no substitute for vaccination.

What can we do to boost COVID-19 vaccination rates among younger children?

Throughout the pandemic, parents have dealt with the incredible stress of keeping their children safe from the coronavirus. But even though a COVID-19 vaccine has been approved for children aged 5-11, the number of shots being given to younger kids is still low.

With students in Manitoba just days away from a return to in-person classes, nearly half of the province's children age five to 11 have not yet had a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
