Environment Canada has issued snow squall warnings for Victoria County and north of Mabou in&nbsp;Inverness County, which could see as much as 25 centimetres of snow Saturday and winds of 60 to 70 km/h.

The weather forecaster also issued snow squall watches for Pictou and Antigonish counties, and south of Mabou in Inverness County.&nbsp;It predicts 10-15 centimetres of snow to fall, along with winds of between 40 and 60 km/h.

Environment Canada issues snow squall watches and warnings when bands of snow can "produce intense accumulating snow" and visibility near zero.

It warns that travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather.

The snow is projected to end this afternoon in Pictou and Antigonish counties, and south of Mabou in Inverness County, and is expected to stop this evening in Victoria County and north of Mabou&nbsp;in Inverness County.
