A 19-year-old woman died in single-vehicle crash Friday night in Yarmouth County.

Yarmouth RCMP&nbsp;responded to a call on Highway 1 near Darlings Lake at 10:24 p.m.

According to a news release, the car was heading south when it struck a guardrail and crashed.

The driver from nearby Port Maitland, who was the only occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.&nbsp;

A driver has been ticketed after allegedly striking a pedestrian in a Spryfield, N.S., crosswalk Friday night. In a news release, Halifax police said the incident happened around 5:20 p.m. AT near 330 Herring Cove Rd.

U.S. vaccination requirement for air passengers worries Canadians with mixed vaccines

Starting in early November, the U.S. will require foreign air passengers entering the country to be fully vaccinated. The problem is, the U.S. has yet to approve mixing COVID-19 vaccines.

Some countries are opening their borders and inviting Canadians to come for a visit. Meanwhile, the federal government still advises against international travel.
