The Niagara River Lions cruised to their seventh win of the season, defeating the Guelph Nighthawks 89-69 on Sunday afternoon.
Niagara's "Scrubb Brothers" took charge for the River Lions with Philip Scrubb scoring a team-high 19 points. His brother, Thomas, added another 17 as the siblings combined for 11 assists.
The River Lions only trailed after the first quarter and shot 47 per cent from the field. The Nighthawks were better from the line, with a 64 per cent free throw percentage.
Guelph's Ahmed Hill tallied a game-high 24 points but it wouldn't be enough for the Nighthawks, who recorded their ninth loss of the season with a 1-5 record at the Sleeman Centre.
The River Lions' next matchup will be against the No. 2 Hamilton Honey Badgers on Tuesday.
The Nighthawks are set to visit the Ottawa BlackJacks on Wednesday.
