Nova Scotia reported no new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday.

The active caseload in the province is nine, according to a news release.

No one is currently in hospital with COVID-19.

Labs in the province processed 2,704 COVID-19 tests on Tuesday.

As of Wednesday, 75.7 per cent of Nova Scotians have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 59.9 per cent have also received a second dose.

Arlene McLean disappeared from her home in Eastern Passage, N.S., almost 22 years ago. What are believed to be her remains were found earlier this month, police said Wednesday.

Arlene McLean is one of the Halifax Police forces long term missing person cases.  She was last seen on Sept 8, 1999 when she left her home in Eastern Passage. McLean gave her common law husband the impression she wouldn't be gone long. She was never seen again. Police believe foul play may be involved in her disappearance. Anyone with information on Arlene McLean should call the Major Unsolved Crimes Program at 1-888-710-9090.

Arlene McLean was last seen on Sept. 8, 1999, when she left her home in Eastern Passage, N.S. Police found what are suspected to be her remains in July 2021.

Federal order on Avon River may scuttle upcoming Ski Martock season

The owner of Ski Martock outside Windsor, N.S., says if the federal government doesn't change its policy on water levels in the Avon River, there will be no ski season this winter.

Nova Scotia's next government needs to do more than just hire more family doctors; it needs to pay them in a way that allows them to spend time developing a doctor-patient relationship.
