Ottawa West–Nepean incumbent among Liberals seeking 3rd term

Liberal incumbent Anita Vandenbeld won with 11,502 more votes than Conservative rival in 2019

As one of Ottawa's six Liberal MPs seeking re-election, Anita Vandenbeld(external link) will be hoping to recreate her success in 2019 and win a third term.
Vandenbeld won the riding with more than 45 per cent of the vote, defeating Conservative Abdul Abdi. She won by 11,502 votes.
Taking Abdi's spot as the Conservative candidate is Jennifer Jennekens(external link), a public school trustee and parliamentary assistant.
The NDP will run Yavar Hameed(external link), a human rights lawyer and community activist. Public servant Sean Mulligan(external link) is on the ballot for the Christian Heritage Party.
Teacher and Ottawa City Rafting founder David Stibbe(external link) is again representing the Greens. Veteran and tech entrepreneur David Yeo(external link) is running for the People's Party of Canada.
