There are five new cases of COVID-19 amid an outbreak at a long-term care home in Dundas.
Hamilton Public Health Services is reporting nine total cases at St. Joseph's Villa.
The new cases include four residents and one visitor.
There were originally four staff cases from the long-term care home's hair salon. The outbreak was declared on July 9.
On Monday, the villa said the outbreak had spread to the rest of the facility.
Michelle Baird, Hamilton public health's director of operations, also said on Monday there would be a rise in cases.
Baird said she didn't have information about if anyone who was infected during the outbreak was unvaccinated. She also said it's unclear which variant may be at play.
The villa said it won't allow non-essential visiting unless residents are very ill or need end-of-life care.
CBC News is seeking comment from John Woods St. Joseph's Villa president.
