Cape Breton Regional Police have seized&nbsp;$200,000 worth of drugs, including pure cocaine and prescription pills, from two residences in Sydney.

Police charged&nbsp;two men after executing&nbsp;search warrants Thursday evening at residences Rotary Drive and Rockcliff Crescent.

Police say they netted nearly a kilogram of cocaine, along with the prescription pills Percocet, amphetamine, hydromorphone, Gabapentin and morphine. They also seized several thousand dollars in cash.

Police charged Keith Cordell Anderson, 43,&nbsp;and Jarvis S. Lucas, 54, with&nbsp;cocaine trafficking.&nbsp;

Anderson is also charged with trafficking&nbsp;morphine, oxycodone, hydromorphone and amphetamine. He faces additional charges of&nbsp;having property obtained by crime, having a&nbsp;prohibited weapon and breaching court orders.

The person was a man in his 50s and he died in the central health zone. Nova Scotia's health authority didn't provide any other details. It is the 89th COVID-19 death for Nova Scotia since the beginning of the pandemic.

N.S. RCMP charge woman with impaired driving after crash; child in vehicle unhurt

RCMP in Nova Scotia have charged a 38-year-old woman with impaired driving after a collision on Highway 1 in Garlands Crossing, Hants County. Police say her breathalyzer test showed alcohol levels in her blood that were five times the legal limit.

Less than 3% of Nova Scotians have opted out of being organ donors

From the launch on Jan. 18 until May 20, just 28,702 Nova Scotians have opted out of allowing presumed consent, less than three per cent of the province’s population.
