A teenager was arrested Friday after allegedly shooting other people with a pellet gun at a Halifax park.

Police said pellets were fired late Thursday afternoon at the Halifax Common skate park.

The 14-year-old accused&nbsp;faces charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, three counts of assault with a weapon, and two counts of failing to comply with a release order.&nbsp;

Halifax police have asked anyone who saw the incident to come forward as a witness.&nbsp;

Fisheries rights trial for 4 Mi'kmaw fishermen delayed

The lawyer for four Mi’kmaw fishermen is trying to back out of a deal he signed earlier this year that was supposed to kick-start a trial on fisheries charges.

Funding for N.S. child-care centres has started flowing but operators say it's not enough

The Nova Scotia government started doling out emergency funding to child-care centres on Friday to cover staffing and operational costs.

Most day cares in London have opted into the program, despite confusion and unknown details about the plan which aims to reduce child care fees to $10 by 2025.
