A woman has been airlifted to hospital in Halifax and an 18-year-old woman and 16-year-old girl were transported to hospital in Antigonish&nbsp;following a single-vehicle&nbsp;ATV crash in Canso on Sunday morning.

Police were notified at 12:45 a.m. of a crash on Water Street, according to a media release.

When emergency services responded, they discovered a&nbsp;damaged ATV and three people in a ditch nearby.

The 44-year-old driver had life-threatening injuries and was&nbsp;airlifted. The passengers were also seriously hurt.

The release says alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash.&nbsp;

The ATV&nbsp;has been seized by police as part of their investigation.&nbsp;

Nova Scotia reports 133 new COVID-19 cases Sunday

Nova Scotia is reporting 133 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, bringing the total number of active cases to 822.

The drive-thru testing site in Saskatoon will be closed Dec. 24 to 27, Dec. 31, as well as Jan. 1 to 2.

An RCMP member in Nova Scotia has tested positive for COVID-19, according to police. The Nova Scotia RCMP say the person got a positive result after an asymptomatic test. This employee, who is an officer in Halifax District, is self-isolating at home following the diagnosis.
