After months of construction and delays, the new Oyster Bed Bridge on Route 6 has reopened.

The project began in mid-October and was expected to be completed by the end of February.&nbsp;

The bridge replacement won't be complete until the end of March, says the Department of Transportation.

Traffic on the road is moving freely, but government officials say site work will continue for the next week or so.&nbsp;

They are asking that people drive through the area with caution.&nbsp;

Roger Soloman, former P.E.I. MLA, dies at 81

Roger Soloman spent more than three decades as a teacher and principal of the elementary and high schools in Souris. He was elected to the P.E.I. Legislature in 1993 to represent the former electoral district of 1st Kings. 

Roger Soloman was a Liberal MLA and longtime educator.

The province is asking motorists in the area to drive with caution.
