Kazuo Ishiguro is a British author. He was born in Nagasaki, Japan in 1954, moved to Britain at the age of five. He has previously authored eight works of fiction, including When We Were Orphans, shortlisted for the 2000 Man Booker Prize. His writing has been translated into over 50 languages.
