Hamilton Police Services' project focused on retaliation between gangs has led to 112 people charged and has taken roughly $1.8 million in drugs off the streets, police say.
Project Strong was a four month investigation that began in December.
"This project reflected a whole of service approach," said Deputy Chief Frank Bergen in a media release.
"Everyone from Patrol to our Guns and Gangs Unit were equipped with information to identify the individuals responsible for the increase in Hamilton's gun violence."
