The Regina Police Service has issued two tickets after protesters exceeded the public health orders around Victoria Park.&nbsp;

Police say on Saturday at about 2 p.m. CST on the 2100 block of Victoria Avenue, officers were monitoring an event organized to protest the provincial public health orders regarding COVID-19.

Regina and area schools extending remote learning until after April 23

Regina Catholic Schools, Regina Public Schools, Conseil des Écoles Fransaskoises, Luther College High School and Prairie Valley School Division have extended the window for students to take classes from home.

The New Brunswick Council of School District Unions says high school custodians aren't sure how they will be able to keep classrooms clean when the number of students in schools doubles on April 12.

In an email to parents, the Regina Catholic Schools Division said it will continue remote learning until April 23. 

Police&nbsp;say they observed 30 people at the event, contrary to the public health order limiting public and private outdoor gatherings.&nbsp;

Officers issued a summary offence ticket for failing to comply with the public health orders to two women, but police did not outline how much they were fined.

The drive-thru testing site in Saskatoon will be closed Dec. 24 to 27, Dec. 31, as well as Jan. 1 to 2.
