As the roll out&nbsp;of COVID-19 vaccines&nbsp;ramps up, so is the conversation around so-called vaccine passports.

The passports offer proof of vaccination that could be required&nbsp;for activities like travel,&nbsp;going to concerts and even getting into the office.

Several countries, including Israel and Iceland, have already issued documentation for their&nbsp;inoculated citizens.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says there are "potential pros and cons" for vaccine passports, and the federal government is studying how Canada should approach the issue, according to reports.

Quebec promises transparency on vaccine passports, opposition says moving too fast

The Quebec government is promising transparency as it considers a vaccine passport for residents fully immunized against COVID-19, but opposition parties say the project could lead to discrimination and division.

Vaccinations started in Laval on Thursday, and about 100,000 people registered in Montreal to get a shot.

COVID-19 'vaccine passports' could be abused in Manitoba, legal experts warn

Legal experts warn Manitoba must ensure COVID-19 immunization cards won't be used to discriminate against people in the workplace, at gathering places or anywhere else within the province when the wallet-sized documents are made available this spring.

EU to consider COVID-19 certificates featuring vaccination, testing data

Next week, the European Union will propose that new COVID-19 certificates combine information on vaccination, recovery from the sickness and test results to avoid discrimination between citizens as the region tries to chart a path forward out of the pandemic.
